Rhino Walking Safari Livingstone
The 2-3 hours walking safari is done in the centrally located Mosi-oa-Tunya National park which is accessible in 10-15 Minutes by vehicle from most lodges in Livingstone. The walking safari is conducted by a professional safari guide with the company of a wildlife ranger and before venturing on the wonderful wildlife experience, the guide gives a safety briefing .
During the walk, there is a very good chance of encountering the growing population of White Rhinos which currently stand at 11 with more babies expected, as well as Giraffes; Kudu; Wildebeest; Impala; Zebra; Buffalo; Bushbuck and Elephants(seasonal). To the small but important, Dung beetles, Matebebele Black ants, Ant lion and an amazing birdlife of over 450 different species.
Walks are conducted in the morning and afternoon with morning pick up times between 06:30 AM to 7:00 AM and afternoon between 1:30PM to 2:30PM, but pick up times and the walking safaris can be tailor-made to the clients convenience. In conclusion, the minimum to carry out a walk is 2 people while the maximum is 8 people and 2 groups of 8 or more can be run simultaneously
